The Interview
Could you please tell us a little about your book?
I have a complete book series which consists of 10 books on the self-help stress solutions topic. Each book in the Stress Solutions Book Series highlights in detail the exact techniques, strategies and tools I use to respond to life?s challenges in a different way. My goal is to show women the importance of arming themselves with practical ways to minimize whatever triggers their stress and anxieties ? whether it?s money, their love life, their mother ( or mother-in-law), their job, sickness or anything else. Each book in the series contains high-performance strategies that you can use immediately to improve your life.
Did something specific happen to prompt you to write this book?
The truth is, the pressures of life is something we all deal with on a daily basis, so we can all use solution-packed stress relief books. Over the years, I have learned how to handle life?s challenges in positive ways and redirect my energy to achieve the things I desire most, which are peace of mind and true happiness that comes from within. I want to help women everywhere do the same. That prompted me to develop the Self-Help Stress Solutions Book Series.
Who or what is the inspiration behind this book?
I have picked up some golden nuggets of wisdom over the years through reading as well as through trial & error, and in the process I have discovered practical and effective ways to reduce and minimize tension in all areas of my life and to overcome its negative effects in my life.
My ultimate goal is to help other women learn how to slow down and start enjoying life again. There really are natural ways to beat stress, regain balance, and find joy & inner peace, and this 10-volume book series helps women do just that.
What cause are you most passionate about and why?
I am passionate about helping women find the joy and happiness in life that they deserve. Sometimes that means pointing them in the right direction, sometimes it means providing empowering tools and resources which they can use over and over to gain ( or regain) balance in all areas of life, and sometimes it requires helping them get out of their own way! And the best way to do that is to lead by example.
As women, we actually have the potential and the power to change the world, one home at a time, one family at a time, since behind every powerful man in the world stands a woman and the hands that rock the cradle can actually rule the world.
I am passionate about helping women discover the power of one! That one being YOU! You may be amazed at how small changes in your attitude can trigger BIG changes in others.
In the last year have you learned or improved on any skills?
I learned a lot of new skills that can help me reach women online more effectively through facebook, twitter, youtube, my blog and my website. Women are online in large numbers in search of information and solutions to problems they face every day. That?s why I decided to take a course in publishing for Kindle this year, to publish and promote my Self-Help Stress Solution Book Series and market the books effectively using social media.
What are you currently working on?
I am currently working on promoting and marketing the book series online as well as on topics and book outlines for my next 10 books for the Self-Help Stress Relief Series. I feel confident that these practical and affordable books will influence lives positively, and I am focused on making sure that I get the books in the hands of the women who need them!
What are some of your long term goals?
My primary long term goal is to add 10 more volumes to the book series. The more positive reactions I get from women who have benefitted from reading the books (and from applying the tips and strategies recommended), the more motivated I am to write more books and touch more lives. So far, I have completed 10 books in the series, but this can easily double in the years ahead. For now though, I am focusing on marketing and promoting the books online. A good book is useless until you get it in the hands of those who need it most. That?s when it starts to work its magic to change lives for the better, if the readers applies what they learn.
What do you feel sets this book apart from others in the same genre?
We all have different concepts of what stress is. For some it may be the result of trying to do too much, for too many people, in too little time, in an environment that is too hard to deal with.
When you let go of trying to control an inflexible environment and all the people in it, you stop struggling with the pain of unrealistic expectations. You let go of stress. We can all relate to this.
However the secret of stress management is grasping the concept that you have NO control over the stressors or demands made upon you. BUT? You do have 100 percent control over your response. That?s where the management of stress must start.
And that?s what sets each book in the self-help stress solutions series apart from other books in the self-help stress relief genre.
With stress management there is no ?magic pill? and no ?one size fits all? solution. The book series highlights a variety of Self-help solutions that are practical and that can (and must) be applied holistically in order to achieve stress relief. Proper eating habits, exercise, proper money management, lifestyle changes, time management, ALL are essential building blocks in conquering the harmful effects of stress.
Learning how to successfully tackle these different areas is essential for achieving the stress relief, happiness, and peace of mind we are all striving for, and rightfully deserve.
What is the most important lesson you have learned from life so far?
That the BEST things in life are free! They are all things that money cannot buy?such as good health, true friends, a loving family, a happy home, and a close relationship with God. Focusing on those things is what brings true happiness, contentment and the ultimate in stress relief.
Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
My life use to feel like a pressure cooker. And I used to think that I was the only woman in the world in that predicament. But I am FAR from alone. Women today are under a lot of pressure. We have more choices and more opportunities than our mothers and grandmothers did. We can have anything and everything we want, as long as we?re willing to work for it. But we must not lose sight of what is most important in life. To live a stress-free happy life, it?s vitally important to be balanced, in every aspect of our lives, at work, at home and at play! I feel confident that my self-help stress solutions book series will help women around the globe do just that.
